Wrestlemania III in the Pontiac Silverdome marked the first time the show became something of a phenomenon with Wrestling finally hitting the mainstream. An originally announced 93,000 attendance (that turned out to be more like 78,000) turned out for a show that not only boasted the main event of Hulk Hogan taking on Andre The Giant (in what some may call the explosion of Hulkamania) but the incredible Randy Savage/Ricky Steamboat Intercontinental championship match.
